Photographer

Authentic, creative and photojournalistic

style photography based in Minnesota.

Experience every moment of your

wedding day!

Photos shouldn’t pull you out of your special day! Katie crafts an experience that lets you stay present, feel everything, and remember it all exactly as it was.

WELCOME

Hi there, I’m Katie Pietsch- The “KP” in KP Imagery. I serve the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area, and beyond!

I am here to capture authentic moments and creative imagery. I love taking wedding photos but it shouldn’t be center stage of your day, you should be!

Every photo I take is intentional and reflects the essence of the person in front of my lens. To do this, I help create memories instead of stiff posed photos so you feel yourself during the picture taking process while also enjoying every moment of your day.

  • An intimate wedding is one with a curated guest list. It is often smaller, and often just close family and friends. It is focused on experience and connections with those most dear to you.

  • Photojournalism captures moments as they are. They are not contrived, but are raw, candid and authentic memories that are captured.

MY

VIBE

Prompts instead of poses to help you be your real self in front of the camera.

Authentic

Artistically styled photos that capture the emotion of the moment.

Creative

Photo-

Journalistic

Photos of you being you. Less setup poses, I’ll capture the candids.

What People are Saying…

Jacob & Taylor

“My wife and I used Katie for our wedding this past year, this is the email I sent after we got our pictures back, I think it sums it up quite nicely:

‘Katie,
Your photos are amazing! You are amazing!
Thank you a million for capturing our perfect day. You have phenomenal talent and we are so happy we found you. Seriously, the photos and edits blew us away.’”

Dylan

We had such a great experience having Katie as our wedding photographer. She was the calm and flexible energy we needed on a stressful day. My spouse does not like having their picture taken, and Katie managed this well and didn’t judge or take it personally. Not to mention the pictures are incredibly beautiful, and we will treasure them for a lifetime.

My “Why?”

Why photography?

This question has become increasingly prominent for me as I battle chronic illness. In the past couple of years I’ve received multiple diagnoses that have made photography more difficult for me. I’ve seriously questioned if this is the right career path for me.

I have come to the conclusion that it is though, as I hold a deep passion for this medium.

My “why” is pretty simple- photography brings me joy and fulfillment. I can’t stop doing it. I have to hold myself back from editing on the weekends because I’m so excited to bring to life the session I just completed. When I’m not photographing, I’m coming up with new ideas for my next session. Most importantly to me though, I get to capture YOU. To me, people are the most beautiful subject to capture. Your spirit, your light, your joy, it inspires me. I want to capture that, I love bringing that out in people.

It’s my calling, and I won’t stop.
